MU22

Model #MU## is designed for use on hangar doors over 2 inches thick and are custom manufactured to required height, depth and length. Our Sensing Edges are designed to provide a safe means of stopping and reversing a door’s motion. Typically powered by just 24 volts, electrically activated Sensing Edges are attached to the leading edge of the hangar door. When touch activated, the internal sensor sends a signal to the motor to stop and/or reverse motion.

The MUxx installs easily on all types of hangar doors including sliding, folding, bi-fold, pivot or tilt up doors.

A specially formulated XR5 cover is available on MUxx styles. This fabric offers chemical resistance to jet fuels, oils and other common chemicals often present in an aircraft hangar.

Hangar Doors and Extra Large Industrial Doors

For doors larger than 2 inches thick, the MU style can be manufactured up to 20”(h) x 20”(d) x desired length. Our MU extra large Sensing Edges can be found on hangar doors at US military installations throughout the world.

Common installations for the MU extra large Sensing Edges can be found in aircraft hangars at commercial, private airports and military bases.
